12" Grand Railing System

The 12" Grand system is the largest rail Spectis makes. It is built for estates, civic buildings, rooftop balustrades and long terraces, anywhere a railing has to hold its own against big architecture. The RAL2101 top and bottom rails are almost 12" wide and carry two internal pipes. They come smooth or in Fossil Stone.

What goes into each railing section

• Rails: one top rail and one bottom rail per section from the RAL2101 family. They come in 8, 10 or 12 ft lengths and are cut to fit between posts.
• Balusters: 34 Spectis baluster styles whose own product listings say they fit these rails. Spacing follows the 4-inch sphere rule.
• Newel post and cap: No newel post or cap is matched to RAL2101 in our listings or the Spectis catalog yet. Ask us for a recommendation.
• Installation pieces: One KIR01 rail kit per top/bottom pair, and SUP07 (4") or SUP08 (2") support blocks.

Picking baluster height

Finished height ≈ support block + bottom rail (5.0625") + baluster + top rail (5.5"), using RAL2101 dimensions. This is a planning estimate only. Check local code (typically 36" for homes and 42" for guards) and the drawing for each part before ordering. Rails end at newels, columns or walls and are never joined to one another.
