Description
BAL2088-15
High density polyurethane, molded for this order. A baluster is the spindle between the top rail and the bottom rail. It is part of a system. The card on this page names the RAL rails it fits.
Rails that fit
The product card says this baluster fits these rails. Each number is the top rail and the bottom rail, when both are made.
Ball rule
The product card says this piece does not meet the 4 inch ball rule. Do not use it where a guard has to stop a 4 inch sphere. It belongs on a decorative run, including a roof or an ornamental face, where that rule does not apply. The card also shows the max repeat, which is the widest center spacing drawn for this baluster.
Shipping
A baluster by itself typically ships UPS.
A long rail, or a system bought together, ships LTL freight. Most orders are the rail, the balusters, and the newels.
Freight needs a verified commercial address a 52-foot trailer can pull into. A house with a business in it does not qualify. If the carrier calls it a residence, a $275 fee is added.
The order goes to the Spectis plant in Manitoba the same day. Shipping from Canada typically takes two to three weeks.
How it goes up
The rail is plowed for the baluster end shown on the card. Use PL Premium (PLP100) on every bedding joint and every butt joint. A different adhesive can attack the urethane. Nails, screws, and adhesive are sold separately. Installation notes for balusters and handrails.

Questions
Which rail fits?
The rails listed above are the ones named on the product card. Use the top and the bottom of that rail number.
What is the ball rule?
The product card says this piece does not meet the 4 inch ball rule. Do not use it where a guard has to stop a 4 inch sphere. It belongs on a decorative run, including a roof or an ornamental face, where that rule does not apply.
Which glue?
Use PL Premium (PLP100) on every bedding joint and every butt joint. A different adhesive can attack the urethane. Nails, screws, and adhesive are sold separately.
Can I return it?
No. It is made for your order. Confirm the rail number on the card before you buy.
How does it ship?
A baluster on its own typically ships UPS. A long rail, or the system bought together, ships LTL freight. LTL freight goes to a verified commercial address a 52-foot trailer can pull into. A house with a business in it does not qualify. If the carrier calls the address a residence, a $275 fee is added, and you get a confirmation letter so you can correct the address or pay the extra freight. The order goes to the Spectis plant in Manitoba the same day. Shipping from Canada typically takes two to three weeks.
What if it arrives damaged?
Inspect it when it is delivered and tell the carrier right away. Email sales@spectis.us the same day. If we are not told within 24 hours, Spectis cannot qualify the items for a claim.
Builders, designers, and customers: if Spectis products or the installation steps are modified, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Veritas Products LLC, veritasproducts.com, and spectis.us from any claimed loss or damage, regardless of other instructions.
