Curved Radius Handrail – Custom Top & Bottom Rail
These are custom curved rails, made to your radius. Choose the RAL2119 profile (6″ W × 5½″ H) or the RAL2105 profile (6″ W × 4″ H), as a top rail, a bottom rail or a matched pair. Spectis forms each rail to the centreline radius and arc length you give us, then sends a drawing for your sign-off before production. They are primed white and ready to paint.

Check the delivery address
Rails ship by LTL freight to a verified commercial address with access for a 52-foot trailer. A $275 residential fee applies if the carrier classifies the address as residential.
Allow time for production
Production starts after the drawing is signed. Your quote confirms the lead time for your rail.
Check the fit
Curved rails are measured to the centreline. The example drawing (RAL2119) shows R 6′-0″ with 7′-0″ of arc on the centreline. Spectis adds about 1″ at each end, giving 7′-21⁄16″ on the outer edge.
RAL2119: the top rail (RAL2119T) is 6″ wide at the top and 4½″ at the base. The bottom rail (RAL2119B) is 4½″ at the top and 6″ at the base. Both are 5½″ high.
RAL2105: the top rail (RAL2105T) and bottom rail (RAL2105B) are 6″ wide × 4″ high, with a 4½″ narrow face. They match the straight RAL2105T and RAL2105B.
The drawing on this page is an example (RAL2119 at R 6′-0″). Your rail is drawn to your measurements.
Rails are supplied undrilled. Balusters, newel posts, caps, support blocks and adhesive are sold separately.
Installation & finishing
- Terminate rails at newel posts, walls or columns, not to each other.
- Install a support block every 4 feet of arc on curved rails.
- Use ADH100 adhesive on every bedding face and butt joint.
- Trim the extra end length on site, then seal and paint the primed surface promptly.
- Hairline cracking may occur at joints and seams.

Is this a stock item?
No. Every curved rail is custom-made by Spectis to the radius and arc length you supply, then drawn for your sign-off before production.
How do I get a price?
Curved railings are sold by quotation. Use the Request a curved rail quote button, or send the profile (RAL2119 or RAL2105), the rails you need (top, bottom or pair), centreline radius, arc length, quantity and project location to sales@spectis.us. You can also call 800-986-1250.
How is a curved rail measured?
To the centreline. Give the radius to the centre of the rail and the arc length along that centreline. The drawing shown is an RAL2119 example at R 6′-0″ with 7′-0″ of arc on the centreline.
Why is the rail longer than my arc?
Spectis adds extra length at each end (about 1″ on the example drawing) so the installer can trim and fit on site.
Are the rails drilled for balusters?
No. The curved rails are supplied undrilled. Lay out and drill for your balusters on site, or ask about factory predrilling when you request a quote.
What is it made of?
High-density polyurethane and/or PVC at Spectis' discretion, primed white and ready to paint. The interior may be hollow at Spectis' discretion.
Can I return it?
No. Custom manufactured and modified products are non-returnable, so check the drawing carefully before you sign it.
What adhesive should I use?
Use ADH100 adhesive on all bedding faces and butt joints. Hairline cracking may occur at joints and seams.
How should curved rails be supported?
