Plan your order & delivery
Made for your project
CM2424SB is poured to order and cannot be returned. Confirm the size against the drawing and your space before purchasing.
Usually ships by UPS
At 24⅜″ across, CM2424SB is under 25 inches and typically ships by UPS. If your order also includes a medallion, ring or panel 25 inches or larger, that piece goes by LTL freight.
Check the delivery address
UPS delivers to residential or commercial addresses. If part of the order goes by freight, that piece needs a verified commercial address with access for a 52-foot trailer; a residential classification adds a $275 fee.
Allow time for production
Orders go to the Spectis plant in Manitoba the same day. Production and shipping from Canada typically take 2–3 weeks. Contact us before ordering if your project has a deadline.
Check the fit
The outer diameter is the size of the medallion. The center hole is listed separately; do not order by the hole size.
Size the medallion to the room and the fixture. Compare the drawing with your ceiling and the fixture canopy before ordering.
The 1″ center hole passes the electrical box wiring. Check that your fixture canopy is wider than 1″ so it covers the opening, and allow for the 1¾″ depth when setting the canopy and chain length.
Installation & finishing
- Turn off power at the breaker and remove the fixture before fitting the medallion.
- Bed the back with ADH100 adhesive and fasten into the ceiling framing with finish nails or screws. Fill the holes.
- The medallion is decorative; it does not carry the fixture. Support the light from the electrical box as usual.
- Paint promptly after installation with latex paint. The factory-primed surface needs no extra primer.

What size is CM2424SB?
CM2424SB is 24⅜″ across with a 1″ center hole and 1¾″ deep.
Will my light fixture fit?
The 1″ center hole passes the wiring from the electrical box. Choose a fixture canopy wider than 1″ so it covers the opening, and allow for the 1¾″ depth when setting the canopy.
Does the medallion hold the light?
No. It is decorative. Support the fixture from the electrical box as usual.
What is it made of?
High-density polyurethane. It cuts, nails and glues like wood and ships double primed, ready for latex paint.
Which adhesive should I use?
Use ADH100 adhesive, a urethane-based adhesive, on the back and at every joint. Other adhesives can damage the product.
How does it ship?
At 24⅜″ across, CM2424SB is under 25 inches and typically ships by UPS. If the order also includes a piece 25 inches or larger, that piece goes by LTL freight.
When will it ship?
It is made to order at the Spectis plant in Manitoba. Production and shipping typically take 2–3 weeks.
Can I return it?
No. It is made for your order. Confirm the size against the drawing before you buy.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Inspect the shipment at delivery, report damage to the carrier immediately, and email sales@spectis.us the same day. Notification within 24 hours is required to qualify items for a claim.
Is there a warranty?
The Spectis warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for five years for the original end user when the product is used and installed under recommended conditions. If it is not painted immediately after installation, the warranty period is one year. Read the full Spectis warranty for terms.
