Anything in the order that is 25 inches or larger goes LTL freight, and that freight costs more than parcel.

If it goes by freight

Freight needs a verified commercial address a 52-foot trailer can pull into. A house with a business in it does not qualify. If the carrier calls it a residence, a $275 fee is added and you get a confirmation letter.

How long

The order goes to the Spectis plant in Manitoba the same day. Shipping from Canada typically takes two to three weeks.

How to read the size

The diameter, or the width and the length, are the numbers in the product name and on the drawing. A center hole, when there is one, is called out separately. Do not use the hole size as the medallion size.

How it goes up

Bed the back with PL Premium and fasten it to a solid ceiling. Use PL Premium on the back and at every joint. It is urethane based. Other adhesives can damage the product. Buy PL Premium.

What is it made of?

High density polyurethane. It cuts, nails, and glues like wood, and it is used inside and outside. It ships double primed and ready for latex paint.

Can this go outside?

The material is the same one used outside, but these pieces are meant for a ceiling or an interior wall.

Which glue?

Use PL Premium on the back and at every joint. It is urethane based. Other adhesives can damage the product. Buy PL Premium.

Will it hold the light?

No. It is decorative. The fixture has to be supported on its own.

Can I return it?

No. It is made for your order. Confirm the diameter against the drawing before you buy.

How does it ship?

Most ceiling pieces this size ship UPS. If the order also includes a medallion, ring, or panel 25 inches or larger, that piece goes LTL freight instead, and the freight costs more than parcel.

What if it arrives damaged?

Inspect it when it is delivered and tell the carrier right away. Email sales@spectis.us the same day. If we are not told within 24 hours, Spectis cannot qualify the items for a claim.
