MD1023 Stepped Flat Moulding
MD1023 stepped flat moulding combines a broad, smooth face with narrow recessed edges along the top and bottom. The 14-inch height gives this trim a generous plain face for wide horizontal bands and built-up architectural details. Its maximum projection is ¾ inch. Each 12-foot length is made from high-density polyurethane and arrives factory-primed white, ready for finishing.

Ships by freight
The 12-foot lengths travel in a crate by LTL truck freight. Full-length pieces cannot ship by standard parcel service.

Check the fit

The CAD section shows a straight back and a broad central face that projects slightly beyond the narrow top and bottom edges. Allow for the full ¾″ maximum projection and 14″ overall height. Check how the edge rebates meet adjacent trim before ordering; this is a flat profile, not an angled crown.
Installation & finishing
- Fit the moulding to a clean, solid mounting surface. Do not install over wallpaper.
- Cut and fasten with standard woodworking tools. Use ADH100 adhesive on every bedding face and butt joint, with the recommended screws or finish nails.
- Finish the factory-primed surface according to Spectis instructions and paint promptly after installation. Fasteners and finish are sold separately.

The Spectis warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for five years for the original end user when the product is used and installed under recommended conditions.
