These long sticks ship by truck, in a crate. Parcel service cannot take a 12-foot piece.

Ship to a verified commercial address that a 52-foot trailer can pull into. A house with a business in it does not qualify.

If the carrier decides the address is a residence, a $275 fee is added. You get a confirmation letter, and you can correct the address or pay the extra freight.

How long

The order goes to the Spectis plant in Manitoba the same day. Shipping from Canada typically takes two to three weeks.

What size crown to order

Crown fails when it is too small for the wall or too deep for the soffit. Height is the vertical face. Projection is how far it comes off the wall.

How it goes up

A skilled carpenter can install it the same way as light wood. Bed it with ADH100 adhesive and fasten it with low-profile screws or finish nails. Use ADH100 adhesive on every bedding face and every butt joint. It is urethane based. Other adhesives can damage the product. Buy ADH100 adhesive. Nails and finish are sold separately.

What is it made of?

High density polyurethane. It cuts, nails, and glues like wood, and it is used inside and outside. Installed properly, it will not rot, warp, or crack. It ships double primed and ready for latex paint, a faux finish, gel stain, or marbleizing. No sanding, and no extra primer.

Can this go outside?

Yes. The same material is used on interior walls and on the exterior. Do not set it over wallpaper. The paper can separate, and the adhesive can stain it.

Which glue?

Use ADH100 adhesive on every bedding face and every butt joint. It is urethane based. Other adhesives can damage the product. Buy ADH100 adhesive. Nails and finish are sold separately.

Can I return it?

No. It is made for your order. Confirm the profile against the drawing before you buy.

Why will this not ship to my house?

A long stick ships by LTL freight. The carrier needs a verified commercial building that a 52-foot trailer can pull into. A home office or a house with a business in it is still a residence. If the carrier calls the address a residence, a $275 fee is added. You get a confirmation letter so you can correct the address or pay the extra freight.

What if it arrives damaged?

Inspect it when it is delivered and tell the carrier right away so they can file a claim. Email sales@spectis.us the same day. If we are not told within 24 hours, Spectis cannot qualify the items for a claim.

Spectis Moulders Inc. warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five years from date of purchase, to the original end user, when used and installed under recommended conditions.
