Shipping method
A cap ordered on its own typically ships UPS. An order containing long rails ships by LTL freight.
If it goes by freight
LTL freight goes to a verified commercial address a 52-foot trailer can pull into. A house with a business in it does not qualify. If the carrier calls the address a residence, a $275 fee is added, and you get a confirmation letter so you can correct the address or pay the extra freight. The order goes to the Spectis plant in Manitoba the same day. Shipping from Canada typically takes two to three weeks.

Inspect your order on delivery, report damage to the carrier immediately and email sales@spectis.us the same day. Damage must be reported within 24 hours to qualify for a claim.

The base dimension describes the bottom footprint. The molding projects beyond that base; check the overall width and intended overhang against your post. A base measurement is not a recessed opening.
This decorative cap is made from HDP urethane. Select the profile and finish to complement your newel post and railing.
Installation & finishing
Check the post top, cap orientation and overhang before fastening. Follow the manufacturer’s installation details. Use ADH100 adhesive on bedding and butt joints. Adhesive, fasteners and other system components are sold separately. Paint after installation in accordance with the manufacturer’s finishing instructions.
