SUP04 Bottom Rail Support Block
SUP04 sits beneath the bottom railing, usually near the middle of the span, to help keep the rail from bowing or arching over time. Longer spans may need additional support blocks. Made from high-density polyurethane and supplied double primed for painting.

An order that includes a long rail ships LTL freight.
If it goes by freight
Freight needs a verified commercial address that a 52-foot trailer can pull into. A house with a business in it does not qualify. If the carrier calls the address a residence, a $275 fee is added. You receive a confirmation letter so you can correct the address or pay the extra freight.
How long
The order goes to the Spectis plant in Manitoba the same day. Shipping from Canada typically takes two to three weeks.
Placement & fit
Set the block beneath the bottom rail, between the rail and the surface below it. A block is commonly placed near the middle of a railing span; longer spans may require additional blocks to help prevent bowing over time.
The manufacturer drawing identifies RAL2102 & RAL2105 for SUP04. Check the 6″ W × 6″ L × 2″ H dimensions against the rail footprint and the available clearance. Confirm the number and spacing of blocks for your particular run.
Installation & finishing
- Check the block size and placement with your rail system before fastening.
- Use ADH100 adhesive on every bedding joint and butt joint.
- Follow the Spectis handrail instructions for fastening and assembly. Adhesive, nails and screws are sold separately.
- The block ships double primed. Paint after installation following the manufacturer's finishing instructions.
