Plan your order & delivery
Made for your project
BL2741 is made to order and cannot be returned. Confirm the profile, dimensions and quantity before purchasing.
Usually parcel
A normal quantity ships by parcel.
A big load can change that
If you buy many, or you mix in pieces larger than about 10 to 12 inches, the whole load may have to go by LTL freight.
If it goes by freight
Freight needs a verified commercial address that a 52-foot trailer can pull into. A house with a business in it does not qualify. If the carrier calls the address a residence, a $275 fee is added. You get a confirmation letter, and you can correct the address or pay the extra freight.
How long
The order goes to the Spectis plant in Manitoba the same day. Shipping from Canada typically takes two to three weeks.
Check the fit
Allow for the full 5⅜″ projection, 3⅛″ height and 5⅜″ width. Projection measures how far the piece extends from the wall. Check the available overhang and compare the CAD drawing with your mounting space.
Installation & finishing
- Fit the piece to a clean, solid mounting surface. Do not install over wallpaper.
- Use PL Premium adhesive on every bedding face and joint, with the recommended screws or finish nails.
- Follow Spectis finishing instructions and paint promptly after installation. Fasteners and finish are sold separately.
- This product is decorative. Do not use it to carry a beam, swing, or other structural load.

Spectis catalogueBL2741 FAQs
What is it made of?
High density polyurethane. It cuts, nails, and glues like wood, and it is used inside and outside. Installed properly, it will not rot, warp, or crack. It ships double primed and ready for latex paint. No sanding, and no extra primer.
Can this go outside?
Yes. Most of these are used under an eave. The same material is used inside. Do not set it over wallpaper.
Which glue?
Use PL Premium on every bedding face and every joint. It is urethane based. Other adhesives can damage the product. Buy PL Premium. Nails and finish are sold separately.
Can I hang weight from it?
No. It is decorative. It is not a structural support. Do not hang a swing, a beam load, or anything else from it.
Can I return it?
No. It is made for your order. Confirm the profile against the drawing before you buy.
Will this ship to my house?
Smaller blocks and brackets usually ship by parcel. If the pieces are larger than about 10 to 12 inches, or you buy many of them, the load may have to go by LTL freight. Freight needs a verified commercial address a 52-foot trailer can pull into. A house with a business in it does not count. If the carrier decides the address is a residence, a $275 fee is added, and you get a confirmation letter so you can correct the address or pay the extra freight.
What if it arrives damaged?
Inspect it when it is delivered and tell the carrier right away so they can file a claim. Email sales@spectis.us the same day. If we are not told within 24 hours, Spectis cannot qualify the items for a claim.
