Check the fit
The shaft measures 10″ at the bottom and 8″ at the top. Select the cap for the 8″ top and the base for the 10″ bottom. The 96″ dimension is shaft height. Check the chosen cap and base drawings for the completed assembly height.
Check the model drawing for the hollow interior and the maximum size of an existing support before ordering a wrap-around installation.
Split-column option
This decorative column can be cut lengthwise into two halves to fit around an existing post or beam, then joined back together on site with ADH100 adhesive. Factory cutting is available for an additional $40 per column. Check the model drawing for internal clearance before ordering. This service applies to decorative columns only, never structural columns.
Installation & finishing
- Decorative, non-load-bearing shaft. Use an independent support wherever the building requires structural support.
- Use ADH100 adhesive on every bedding face and butt joint.
- Follow the manufacturer instructions for fastening, joints and finishing. Paint after installation. Adhesive, finish and additional installation fasteners are sold separately.

Shipping method
Columns and porch posts ship LTL freight only.
Delivery address
LTL freight requires a verified commercial address accessible to a 52-foot trailer. A house with a business in it does not qualify. If the carrier classifies the address as residential, a $275 fee is added. A confirmation letter lets you correct the address or pay the extra freight.
How long
The order goes to the Spectis plant in Manitoba the same day. Shipping from Canada typically takes two to three weeks.
Check at delivery
Inspect the shipment on arrival and notify the carrier immediately of damage. Email sales@spectis.us the same day. Report damage within 24 hours for claim qualification.
