Description
A coordinated railing system, sized for your project
Pair the classic turned shape of BAL2000 balusters with substantial RAL2100 top and bottom rails. Choose from ten baluster sizes and three rail lengths. Each section includes both rails, the matching baluster quantity and pre-drilling, with smooth high-density polyurethane surfaces supplied primed white for painting.

What comes with your railing section
Matching top and bottom rails
One RAL2100T top rail and one RAL2100B bottom rail, both in the selected 8-, 10- or 12-foot length. Their coordinated profiles frame the balusters above and below. Each rail measures 7″ wide overall × 5½″ high and incorporates 4″ I.D. PVC pipe reinforcement.
Your selected BAL2000 balusters
The BAL2000 family has a classic turned center with square end blocks. The selected model is supplied throughout the section: 16 balusters for 8 feet, 20 for 10 feet, or 24 for 12 feet. These balusters have 4½″ square ends.
Pre-drilling is included
The selected price includes rail-set pre-drilling at $6 per baluster: $96 for 8 feet, $120 for 10 feet or $144 for 12 feet. No separate drilling charge is required. Confirm the required layout and end spacing when planning your order.
Complete the installation
Components ship unassembled for fitting and assembly on site. Newel posts and caps, support blocks, mounting hardware, adhesive and fasteners are sold separately. The posts pictured illustrate a finished installation.
Choose your baluster size
Start with the height and proportions you want, then select the model and rail length in the purchase options. Standard and extended models retain the BAL2000 family look. An EXT suffix identifies an extended version; for example, BAL2000-22EXT30 is a 22″ profile extended to a 30″ baluster height.
| Baluster model | Baluster height | Assembly height* | Model type |
|---|---|---|---|
| BAL2000-16 | 16″ | 27″ | Standard |
| BAL2000-20 | 20″ | 31″ | Standard |
| BAL2000-22 | 22″ | 33″ | Standard |
| BAL2000-25 | 25″ | 36″ | Standard |
| BAL2000-28 | 28″ | 39″ | Standard |
| BAL2000-30 | 30″ | 41″ | Standard |
| BAL2000-22EXT30 | 30″ | 41″ | 22″ profile extended to 30″ |
| BAL2000-25EXT33 | 33″ | 44″ | 25″ profile extended to 33″ |
| BAL2000-25EXT35 | 35″ | 46″ | 25″ profile extended to 35″ |
| BAL2000-30EXT36 | 36″ | 47″ | 30″ profile extended to 36″ |
*Assembly height is the selected baluster height plus 11″ for the two 5½″ rail profiles. It excludes clearance beneath the bottom rail. Add that clearance to determine the installed height above the finished surface; confirm final dimensions and mounting-pin engagement with your installer.
Choose your rail length
Every length includes one top rail, one bottom rail and the balusters shown here. Select the baluster model independently of the length.
| Section length | Included rails | Balusters | Pre-drilling included in price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 ft / 96″ | 1 top + 1 bottom | 16 | $96 |
| 10 ft / 120″ | 1 top + 1 bottom | 20 | $120 |
| 12 ft / 144″ | 1 top + 1 bottom | 24 | $144 |
Measure the actual opening between newels or other supports. Confirm end gaps and the drilling layout before ordering; the number of balusters alone does not establish the spacing of an individual installation.
How the balusters and rails fit together
Square ends seat against the rails
The balusters stand between the top and bottom rails. Their projecting mounting pins fit into aligned holes in the rails, concealing the pins while the square end blocks seat against the rail faces. The pin holes and adhesive beds help position each baluster during assembly.
Dry-fit the components, keep the balusters square, then bond all contact surfaces using ADH100 adhesive and the specified fastening method. Follow the installation guide for clamping and curing before setting the assembled section in place.
Rail ends need supported connections
Rail sections terminate at newel posts, walls or other suitable load-supporting members. They are not designed to be joined end-to-end without a support. Select the correct mounting hardware for the rail, newel and supporting surface.
The installation guide calls for bottom-rail support blocks on spans over 8 feet. Include appropriate blocks when planning 10- and 12-foot sections, and confirm their location and height with your installer.
Material, installation & finishing
The visible rail and baluster surfaces are molded high-density polyurethane with a smooth, primed white finish. The rails’ internal PVC reinforcement is distinct from their urethane exterior. The primer provides a starting surface for the final painted finish.
- Lay out the supports and openings. Confirm newel locations, rail lengths and the selected baluster model before cutting or fitting components.
- Check the pre-drilled layout. Dry-fit the section and confirm pin engagement, end spacing and alignment against the project measurements.
- Bond and fasten as instructed. Use ADH100 adhesive on every bedding and butt joint and the fasteners specified for the system. Adhesive and installation hardware are ordered separately.
- Finish the installation. Follow Spectis preparation and finishing instructions, and paint promptly after installation.
Made to order & freight delivery
Made for your order
Manufactured to order at the Spectis plant in Manitoba, Canada. These components are not kept on a shelf. Made-to-order products cannot be returned. Confirm models, lengths, quantities and accessories before purchasing.
Plan your project timing
Allow approximately 2–3 weeks from the order date as the current planning estimate. Confirm production and delivery timing before scheduling installation, especially for a time-sensitive project.
Commercial freight access
Long rails and complete systems ship by LTL freight. Provide a verified commercial delivery address with access for a 52-foot trailer and arrange for someone to receive and inspect the shipment.
Residential classification
A home business is considered residential. If the carrier classifies the delivery address as residential, a $275 residential fee applies. Confirm the address and access arrangements before ordering.

Questions before you order
Does the price include both rails and all the balusters?
Yes. Each option includes one RAL2100T top rail, one RAL2100B bottom rail and the quantity of the selected BAL2000 model shown in the length chart. Pre-drilling is included in the selected price.
Are the newel posts in the picture included?
No. Newels, caps, support blocks, mounting hardware, adhesive and fasteners are sold separately. The pictures illustrate representative finished assemblies.
Does the railing arrive assembled?
No. The components arrive for on-site fitting, assembly and painting. The pre-drilled rail set still requires adhesive, the specified fasteners and proper attachment to supporting members.
Is assembly height the same as installed height?
No. The chart lists the baluster and both rail profiles together. The clearance beneath the bottom rail adds to the installed height above the finished surface.
Can I join two rail sections to make a longer run?
Plan a supporting newel or other suitable load-supporting member at the junction. Spectis instructions do not permit unsupported end-to-end rail connections.
How do I match an existing baluster?
Compare the complete model number, overall baluster height, end dimensions and profile. Extended and standard models of the same overall height may have different proportions. Contact us with the model and measurements before ordering.
