Check the fit
Choose the shaft diameter, height and trim package at purchase. On this tapered family, the top diameter is 2″ smaller than the bottom. Match each cap to the top and each base to the bottom. Check the drawing for the chosen size and completed assembly height.
Check internal clearance on the exact size drawing before ordering a wrap-around installation.
Split-column option
This decorative column can be cut lengthwise into two halves to fit around an existing post or beam, then joined back together on site with ADH100 adhesive. Factory cutting is available for an additional $40 per column. Check the model drawing for internal clearance before ordering. This service applies to decorative columns only, never structural columns.
Installation & finishing
- Decorative, non-load-bearing column. An independent support must carry any building load.
- Use ADH100 adhesive on every bedding face and butt joint.
- Follow the manufacturer instructions for fastening, joints and finishing. Paint after installation. Adhesive, finish and additional installation fasteners are sold separately.

Shipping method
Columns and porch posts ship LTL freight only.
Delivery address
LTL freight requires a verified commercial address accessible to a 52-foot trailer. A house with a business in it does not qualify. If the carrier classifies the address as residential, a $275 fee is added. A confirmation letter lets you correct the address or pay the extra freight.
How long
The order goes to the Spectis plant in Manitoba the same day. Shipping from Canada typically takes two to three weeks.
Check at delivery
Inspect the shipment on arrival and notify the carrier immediately of damage. Email sales@spectis.us the same day. Report damage within 24 hours for claim qualification.
