Installing these Urethane columns in your home has never been easier. Spectis decorative columns are made of a dense polyurethane blend which makes them amazingly lightweight and easy to handle, unlike traditional wood or stone columns. These exterior or interior columns are easily installed with everyday woodworking tools and are primed and ready for paint, finish, or gel stain. These columns will add tremendous value to your home the minute they are installed.

A hollow shaft has no structural value. It wraps a post or pipe that is already carrying the load, and the plant can supply it in two halves so the wrap closes around that support. A structural column has a 4-1/2 inch steel post in the center. The published maximum safe load for that steel core is 10,000 pounds. If the column has to hold the porch, order the structural part. Round shafts are smooth or fluted, straight or tapered, and a rope profile is listed as well. Published round sizes run 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16 inches, at 8, 10, and 12 foot heights. The cap and the base are separate parts. Match the hole in the cap or base to the shaft diameter.
